How to Accept a Team Invite

Someone on your team invited you to Quill? Here's what to expect in your inbox -- and what happens once you click the link.

If you've been told you're being added to a team at Quill, you should be getting (or have already gotten) an invite email. This guide walks through what that email looks like, what to do with it, and what happens after you accept.

What the invite email looks like

The email comes from "Quill Therapy Solutions" at hello@quilltherapysolutions.com. The subject mentions an invite to join a team at Quill.

Inside the email, you'll find a button or link to accept. That link is unique to you and your invite -- don't forward it to anyone else, since they'd end up joining the team in your place.

If you don't see the email after a day or so, check your spam or promotions folder. Email filters can be aggressive about unfamiliar senders, especially the first time. If it's not there either, ask whoever invited you to resend it from their team page.

Accepting the invite

Click the link in the email. What happens next depends on whether you already have a Quill account at that email address.

If you don't have a Quill account yet

You'll be taken to the sign-up page with the invite already attached. Create your account the usual way, and once you finish signing up, you'll be on the team automatically. No extra steps.

If you already have a Quill account

You'll see a short page that says something like "You already have an account at Quill, but you have been invited to join {Name}'s team. By accepting below, you'll join their team."

Click "Accept Invitation" and you're in.

One thing worth knowing: if your existing account was on a different team or on the free tier, joining the new team replaces that. Your account doesn't get deleted -- you just become a member of the new team going forward. Any custom templates and preferences you've set up stay with your account.

Once you're on the team

Once you've accepted, you can start using Quill right away. Head to My Account to see your team listed, or just jump straight to generating a note or exploring documentation templates.

The person who invited you will see your invite move from the "Pending Invites" section to "Team Members" on the team page.

I clicked the link and it says the invite expired

Invites are valid for a limited window. If your invite expired before you got to it, just reach out to whoever invited you and ask them to resend it. They'll generate a fresh one with a new link, and you can pick up from there.

Welcome to Quill -- glad to have you! Trouble with the invite or your account? Send us an email and we'll help you get set up.
