Quill only includes what you provide in your summary. If you forget details, they won't appear in the note. If you later remember important details, you can always edit the generated note before adding it to your EHR.
You can also update your summary by clicking on "View summary and regenerate note", which gives you the opportunity to tweak your summary and, as the name suggests, regenerate the note.
Yes! You can either record audio or type/paste text -- whichever you prefer. Some therapists keep brief notes during sessions and paste them into Quill afterward. Others prefer to verbally record a summary. Both methods work equally well.
Yes, Quill works for all session types -- telehealth, in-person, phone sessions, and any other format. The workflow is the same: after your session ends, provide a brief summary and Quill generates your note. The delivery method of therapy doesn't change how Quill works.
Yes! When recording verbally, say "quote" and "unquote" around the direct quote. If typing, use quotation marks. Quill will preserve the quote in your generated note.
For example, you could verbally say: "The client said they were quote feeling frustrated unquote."
Absolutely! Always review and edit notes before adding them to your client's record. You can modify sections, add or remove details, rewrite in your own voice, and adjust clinical language. Quill provides a starting point -- you maintain full clinical responsibility for the final note.
Use custom instructions in My Account or when generating a note to specify your preferences for tone and style, detail level, terminology, clinical language, etc. This helps Quill match your documentation style.
No. Quill intentionally does not store your notes. This is a privacy and security feature. Please use your EHR system to store your clinical progress notes as you normally would.

Yes! You can now generate treatment plans with Quill! Just like therapy notes, you just need to provide a summary (not a session recording!), and Quill will generate a treatment plan for you.
