Tech companies attempt to reassure users all the time that they can be trusted with their users' privacy and very personal details. But as AI is thrown at every "problem" to see where it sticks, it introduces vulnerabilities that, well, probably should have been foreseen? If we stopped and thought for just a minute longer?
Anyway, 404 Media just covered this story, where hackers simply had to ask Meta (the company that runs Facebook and Instagram) and their support AI to give them access to some high-profile Instagram accounts... And the AI did just that.

Just another reminder that... AI doesn't belong everywhere! And that security and privacy vulnerabilities are a real thing!
Be careful where you send your data -- and if you need to send that data to begin with.
Be thoughtful about where you introduce AI -- and if you need AI to be there in the first place.
