(Is this directly relevant to Quill and what we do here? I'm not sure. But I feel like this helps highlight just how special and thoughtful our co-founder [and my wife] Jen is. So I thought it was worth sharing!)
My 40th is coming up (next week!), and this past Saturday, Jen threw TWO DIFFERENT SURPRISE PARTIES for me.
First, she took me and the kids to a restaurant where, surprise, ALL of my family were there… Parents and in-laws, siblings, niece and nephew, and every single aunt and uncle. And we had a wonderful brunch. (And my kids even had speeches prepared!)
Later on that evening, Jen and I walked into my favorite restaurant/bar in Cleveland, and 25 friends were waiting there! People from all different chapters in my life. Some of them traveled a few hours to be there too! I just kept looking around, surprised to see how many different faces were all gathered into the same space… for me?
It was a magical day, and I’m very grateful to have Jen in my life to make me feel so special and loved. And I'm thankful for everyone who helped celebrate on Saturday. I'm still smiling from it all.
Onward to 40 and beyond! There's so much to be excited about -- including things on the horizon for Quill!
