Here's what we found in our latest Therapist Search Report:
"Therapy Solutions for Kids" suddenly started ranking for therapist searches -- even though it has never appeared in our data before this week.
But after looking closer, it seems these profiles have actually existed for a while. They just weren’t surfacing in search results. And now the domain redirects to Online-Therapist[dot]org. My hunch is that the (presumably recent) redirect gave their website an SEO boost, and thousands of these pages popped into visibility all at once.
They have over 27,000 therapist profiles as of today. Many of these profiles have an added note saying the therapist isn’t affiliated and can request removal. It's not clear what the source of these profiles is or what the breakdown is between claimed and unclaimed profiles, but given that disclaimer, it's safe to assume that not all 27,000 therapists opted into this directory.
I wrote up the full breakdown of my findings in this week’s Therapist Search Report. I hope you give it a read, as it definitely became an "if you give a mouse a cookie" situation... I tried to figure out where this website suddenly came from!
