Another full day at the conference, and just like the first and second days, we (Jon and Jen) got to speak with so many thoughtful counselors.
Yes, they liked the free snacks.
Yes, they liked the free quill pens.
Yes, they liked the free "Therapy is human" stickers and magnets.
But what they were most passionate about?
Saving time on notes without having AI intrude on the very sacred space of their therapy sessions.
So much passion! So much concern! So much disdain toward progress notes!
It was honestly so wonderful to walk away feeling so validated. Of course we already knew that we're doing the right thing at Quill, choosing to not record sessions, choosing to find a better and more private and more ethical way to provide tools and efficiencies to therapists. But to hear hundreds of therapists agree? That is so powerful and so motivating. We'll be keeping this energy and momentum going!
We have so many other thoughts and ideas and takeaways from this conference and these conversations, but we'll save that for another day... We're exhausted.
If you were at the ACA and want to connect, we'd love to stay in touch! Please send us an email if you have any further questions, or connect with us on LinkedIn!
Also, here's the final update on our canvas. This was our first conference, and wow! We'll definitely be doing something like this again.
